2018 Wisdom Healing (Zhineng) Qigong Classes
If this is your first qigong class, please watch before coming if possible: Intro to Wisdom Healing Qigong
Wednesdays June 13, 20, 27th
9:00 – 10:00 AM
Imagination Lab (621 West Line Street, Suite 204 upstairs)
June is one of my favorite months of the year. Plants are in full glory, birds are singing, it’s usually not too hot, and it holds the Summer Solstice as a time for renewing our focus on growth. We focus on cultivating the path of light and clearing the weeds from not only our earth gardens but also our soul gardens.
In order to clear and cultivate, I am offering Sound Healing 3 mornings in June. Wisdom Healing Qigong (WHQ) Sound Healing is a very powerful practice for emotional health. We practice 3 sounds for each of the 5 organ systems. This practice was resurrected from ancient Taoist texts by Dr. Pang, the founder of Zhineng Qigong (known as WHQ in the West). We will practice 5 Organ Sound Healing along with Master Mingtong Gu’s audio. I’ll also be teaching the essence mantra and other sounds we can use for connection and healing. We will finish the morning with some physical movement practice to integrate the cultivated energy after the sounds and get you powered up for the day.
Sound Healing may be done in any position. We will mostly be sitting or lying down, whichever is most comfortable for you. Feel free to bring friends. Even if you can’t make all the classes, come when you can.
Practices may include:
- Awaken Vitality Form–Five movements to open the spine for physical health and energetic transformation.
- Inner Smile Meditation–activate the inner medicine of self-love, relaxation and unconditional happiness.
- Lachi for Healing
- Introduction to Sound Healing (with Mingtong’s audio)
- Wall Squats
- Standing Meditation
- Lift Chi Up Pour Chi Down–a slow moving meditation to open our bodies to external chi. Invigorate your energy body, allow flow, harmony, and centeredness.
I keep interested people updated on the latest classes and workshops with my email list. To get on that list, email firstname.lastname@example.org. THANKS!
Dress in comfortable clothing. There is a restroom there for changing if need be. If you have a yoga mat or blanket, bring that with you. If you don’t have one, no worries, we have them at the venue to borrow. Please try to be there on time, but you are welcome to join us anytime you can. If you do come in late, just enter quietly internally and externally.
